After Barack Obama's reelection, we can be sure to see some more of Michelle Obama's amazing style in the next four years. One of the designers our fashion-forward First Lady, Michelle, frequently likes to wear is Tracy Reese.
With an innate desire to create beautiful things, the Detroit native debuted her signature collection in Spring 1998. Perfect for the modern woman, Reese boasts ultra-feminine pieces layered with intelligent nostalgia, charm and luxury; a distinctive look that the designer has since become known for. Michelle's memorable pink and blue brocade dress from the 2012 DNC is a great example of Reese's fabulous custom-made designs.
What about Tracy Reese suddenly piqued our interest? Her unique bold patterns and color combinations for one! Take this stunning black and caramel cocktail dress Claire's modeling as a perfect example! At Peachy Keen we love highlighting strong, powerful female designers and Tracy Reese is just that. With her rapid entrance into the fashion world, she graduated from Parsons School of Design, earning her degree in only two short years.
She worked her way through many design houses before becoming the head of the Women's Portfolio for Perry Ellis and then went on to launch her own labels. Her current collections include Tracy Reese and plenty by Tracy Reese both of which can be found at Peachy Keen.
Reese loves mixing vintage looks, luxury, ethnic-inspiration, and feminine touches in all her designs, which makes her clothing fit right into our store! She prides herself on making her clothes effortless to wear and great looking on all shapes and sizes. Being a woman with her own curves, she wants clothing to look great on her body and others with shape.
Here at Peachy Keen we have fallen in love with the Tracy Reese line and are so excited to offer a few of her dresses to our peaches! And these hard-to-find frocks are just in time for your next holiday party too!
Tracy Reese is also one of the designers involved in the Neiman Marcus for Target line. She did a set of very colorful patterned dinner plates. How cute, right?
