Prior to the show, our guests enjoyed a Cocktail Hour hosted by Maximillions, The Big Easy, Zaxby's and Triangle Wine Company to get everyone in the mood for the main event!
Maximillions Grill and Pizza Kitchen has been a favorite of ours for years! Owners Michael and Gayle have fashioned an impressive and original menu chock full of creative food presented with flair! Maximillians provided their famous pizza for everyone to nibble on, as well as free appetizer cards in everyone's gift bag and a $50 gift card raffle prize.
We love working with our friendly neighbors, The Big Easy in Cary. Everyone over there is fantastic and they host several fun night life events! The Big Easy donated yummy mini crab cakes, a huge hit during our Cocktail Hour. In addition, all who attended our Fashion Show received free appetizer cards and one lucky winner got $25 to spend at their restaurant. Thanks Kevin and Dave for sponsoring our show!
What's a cocktail hour without the cocktails? Triangle Wine Company, founded in 2011 just down the street, provided a great wine sampling for our pre-show event on our patio. Their large, comprehensive selection of wine and beer, knowledgeable staff, and unbeatable pricing make Triangle Wine Company one of the best retail wine stores in the area. But don't take my word for it, all our guests received 10% off their next purchase in their swag bags.
To help us to pull off Fire & Ice, we enlisted the help of DS Parada Color Salon to bring the theme to life in each of the model's hairstyles. As a unique hair and beauty salon located in North Raleigh, DS Parada, owned by celebrity hairstylist Don Stacy, has been our go-to hair salon for years. I wholeheartedly believe they are the premier color salon in the area!
In conjunction with DS Parada, Head 2 Toe Cosmetics took our Fire & Ice theme to the next level with big, New York Fashion Week type makeup! Melissa Solis is the owner and make-up artist at Head 2 Toe. We loved the big hair and makeup as our debut into the Triangle Fashion scene, something very different for the area.
The looks, the most important aspect of a Fashion Show, were trendy and fashion forward, featuring everyday styles to contemporary party dresses. At Peachy Keen we pride ourselves as a boutique where mothers and daughters, and women of all ages, shapes and sizes can shop together!
To portray this, we featured young and old as well as a range of sizes in our models. All our models came from John Casablancas Modeling Center, except our most "senior" model, Judy Smith. She is Donna's 50 something sister who came in from Yardley, PA to support us! In addition, Donna's parents, Art & Eileen Jenkins, were in attendance from Delray Beach, Florida. Eileen was outfitted, head to toe, for our Show in Peachy Keen!
John Martinez Photography was our official Fashion Photographer for the Show! Take a look at all the photos from the show here. Also, be sure to browse WRAL Out & About photo slide show, they snapped some great shots for their website.
THE AFTER PARTY:
Once the show was over, we popped open the bubbly to toast to the After Party! We also served mini cupcakes with Peachy Keen inspired flavors: red velvet and champagne, which was deliciously made by Kimberly from Simply Bliss Cupcakes.
We raffled off great prizes with the help of Ms. North Carolina Junior Pre-Teen, Carter Brown! She help pick winners for amazing prizes from Fab Faces, the ultimate spot for facials, makeup and hair removal treatments; Nourish, a wellness and nutrition club at Seaboard Station; Nirvelli Day Spa and Preston Family Chiropractic in Cary, which incorporates natural remedies for a treat to your body and a balm for your soul; Sun Tan City; Videri Chocolate Factory and Mink Pink.
Everyone enjoyed shopping the looks from the runway, as their $5 ticket was redeemable for $10 store credit the night of the show. Upset you missed it? We're planning our next one to debut Spring/Summer 2013 in April! Until next time Peaches...
